Two Ohio Republicans took a big step toward joining the House after winning primaries Tuesday in GOP-dominated districts.
State Sen. Michael Rulli is the favorite in a June 11 special election after winning the nomination to fill the rest of the term of ex-Rep. Bill Johnson (R), who resigned in January to become president of Youngstown State University.
Rulli also won the regularly scheduled primary to advance to the Nov. 5 general election for a full two-year term that begins in January.
