Thune, Johnson to Meet Tuesday as GOP Looks to Solidify DHS Plan

Senate Majority Leader John Thune said he and House Speaker Mike Johnson plan to meet Tuesday as Republicans hash out the path forward on funding the Department of Homeland Security through appropriations and reconciliation.

“I try not to tell the House what to do or how to do it, but obviously, the sooner we can get all those agencies funded, the better,” Thune (R-S.D.) told reporters Monday.
