Thune Pressing Trump to Back Cornyn in Runoff After ‘Good Night’

Senate Majority Leader John Thune plans to press harder on his pitch to President Donald Trump to endorse John Cornyn as he moves to a competitive and expensive runoff.

“I’ve been making that case for a long time, and we’ll make it again, and today, I think even more emphatically given the outcome last night,” Thune (R-S.D.) told reporters on Wednesday.
