Thune Shuts Down Talk of Changing Filibuster for Voter ID Bill

Majority Leader John Thune batted down the idea of changing the Senate’s filibuster rules to pass a voter ID bill — but hinted discussions continue about a path forward for the measure.

“There aren’t anywhere close to the votes, not even close, to nuking the filibuster,” Thune (R-S.D.) said.
