Thune Wants Action on Permitting and Crypto After Voter ID Bill

Majority Leader John Thune wants the Senate to consider permitting and crypto bills after what’s expected to be a partisan battle over voter ID legislation next week.

The Senate will hold an extended debate on President Donald Trump’s priority SAVE America Act next week after voting today on a major bipartisan housing bill that faces complications in the House. After the voter ID bill, Thune (R-S.D.) told reporters Thursday that he thinks the chamber can work on several bipartisan issues if there’s a “willingness.”
