Top Democrats on congressional committees and subcommittees are accusing the Trump administration of hurting needy families and seniors in its bid to freeze billions in funding for five states, and are urging the administration to restore the funding.
“This reckless decision will inflict irreparable harm on children, seniors, people with disabilities, and working families, all to satisfy President Trump’s penchant to retaliate against certain states that do not bend the knee to his will,” the Democrats wrote to Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F.
