Trump Officials Get More Time to Hold NY-NJ Tunnel Funds (2)

The Trump administration won a reprieve until Thursday to keep its freeze on federal funds for the $16 billion Gateway tunnel, as the federal government seeks an appeals court’s blessing to overturn a judge who ruled Friday the money should be released.

A federal judge in Manhattan agreed on Monday to give the US Department of Transportation three more days to ask a higher court to pause her order while the the government challenges it in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
