FAA Funding Boost Sought by Trump At a Key Time for Aviation

President Donald Trump on Friday proposed increasing transportation funding next fiscal year with $26.6 billion in discretionary funds, a 6.2% increase under his budget plan.

The requested funding reflects the administration’s pursuit of initiatives including a pricey modernization of the air traffic control system, and as Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy pushes for at least $7 billion more for the effort.
