Trump CBP Pick Wins Confirmation as GOP Eyes Billions for Border

President Donald Trump has the chance to deepen his influence on border security operations after the confirmation of his pick Rodney Scott to lead US Customs and Border Protection.

The Senate voted 51-46 on Wednesday to confirm Scott as CBP commissioner over the objections of Democrats concerned about some of his past decisions helming the Border Patrol.
