Donald Trump wiped out multiple Indiana Republican lawmakers who defied his order to redraw the state’s congressional map, underscoring the president’s clout and his bruising efforts to extract revenge against dissidents in his own party.

At least five of the seven state senators Trump targeted for defeat in Tuesday’s primary were unseated by Trump-aligned challengers in a retaliatory campaign that included Gov. Mike Braun (R-Ind.), Sen. Jim Banks (R-Ind.), and the conservative Club for Growth and Turning Point USA organizations.
