Trump Taps Head of Security Detail as Secret Service Director

President Donald Trump has chosen Sean Curran, the agent in charge of his security detail during the 2024 campaign, to be the new director of the US Secret Service, an organization under intense scrutiny following two failed assassination attempts against the then-Republican candidate.

“Sean is a Great Patriot, who has protected my family over the past few years, and that is why I trust him to lead the Brave Men and Women of the United States Secret Service,” Trump said Wednesday in a post on his Truth Social network.
