The Trump administration’s first proposal for selling off 443 federal buildings it sees as unneeded would have disproportionately hit urban and suburban congressional districts mainly represented by Democrats, a Bloomberg Government analysis shows.
Of the 20 districts with the most buildings on the list (see the chart below), 16 are held by Democrats, accounting for 203 facilities and 37.9 million square feet.
