Trump Teases Imminent Endorsement in Texas GOP Senate Primary

President Donald Trump said he’ll “soon” endorse in the competitive Texas Senate primary runoff race and that he’ll ask the other candidate to drop out.

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton are set to go to a runoff in May after advancing in the primary Tuesday night over Rep. Wesley Hunt. The runoff winner would face state Rep. James Talarico, who defeated Rep. Jasmine Crockett for the Democratic nomination. Trump avoided endorsing in the three-way race, but is facing renewed pressure to make a pick.
