President Donald Trump plans to nominate government contracting executive David Cummins to serve as administrator of the Transportation Security Administration.
A White House official confirmed the planned nomination, which hasn’t been formally announced. CBS News first reported the decision earlier Thursday.
Cummins is a senior vice president at Serco, where he oversees the company’s civilian government business portfolio across federal, state, and local clients, according to the company’s website.
His work spans areas including aviation, transportation systems, and emergency management, and he has more than two decades of experience in government contracting, according to the website.
