President Donald Trump will release his “skinny” budget request for the 2026 fiscal year tomorrow, according to a person familiar with the planning.
The request will allow lawmakers to formally begin work on fiscal 2026 appropriation bills and offer a first glimpse into the Trump administration’s funding priorities. The proposal will be a narrowed down version of a fuller, comprehensive request the Office of Management and Budget is crafting to be released sometime in the future.
