Trump’s cabinet at these Republicans’ mercy

Seven powerful Republicans may determine whether Donald Trump gets the cabinet he wants.

Republicans will hold a 53-47 majority next year, meaning losing more than three Republicans can sink any nominee.

These are the senators most likely to break ranks:

Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska): The moderate Republican, who opposed Trump’s presidential bid and supported his impeachment conviction over Jan. 6, already signaled hesitance on some cabinet picks.
