Two Failed Bills Spell Trouble for House GOP: Congress Tracker

They seemed like two relatively routine bills.

Instead, they turned into another House Republican flame out — and a demonstration that with such a slim majority, just about any hiccup right now can stall the GOP agenda.

On Tuesday night, it was a handful of moderates with labor union ties who blocked a pair of bills. One dealt with pay for tipped workers and another focused on job training after work hours.
