US Air Force Checks Tanker Fleet After New Jets’ Damage: Report

Boeing Co. found cracks in two of four new refueling planes slated for delivery to the US Air Force, which ordered an inspection of its existing fleet, defense website The War Zone reported.

The cracks were found on the primary or secondary structures of two KC-46A Pegasus refueling tankers, the site said, citing an Air Force response to its query. It said the issue was discovered by Boeing and the manufacturer is halting deliveries of the planes.
