Greenland Leader Says Trump’s Aim Unchanged After Envoy Talks

Greenland’s leader said he had a “constructive” meeting with Donald Trump’s envoy to the Arctic island, but warned there were no signs the US president has changed his ambition to acquire the territory.

Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen met with US Special Envoy Jeff Landry on Monday in Nuuk, in what the premier later described as a “respectful dialog conducted in a polite tone” and defined by “an attempt to listen and an attempt to learn.”
