US Is Ramping Up Surveillance Flights Near Cuba, CNN Says

The US is increasing the number of intelligence-gathering flights off the coast of Cuba, CNN reported, citing public aviation data.

Since Feb. 4, the US Navy and Air Force have carried out at least 25 flights using manned aircraft and drones mostly near Havana and Santiago de Cuba, CNN said, pointing to data from FlightRadar24. Prior to February, such publicly visible flights were rare in the area, the outlet added.
