US Launches Strikes Against Iran After Helicopter Shot Down (1)

The US military launched fresh airstrikes against Iran hours after President Donald Trump vowed to retaliate for the shooting down of a US Army helicopter.

Forces under US Central Command “began launching self-defense strikes against Iran, at 5 pm ET today at the Commander in Chief’s direction, in response to yesterday’s downing of a US Army Apache helicopter,” Centcom said on social media.

“The mission is a proportional response to unjustified Iranian aggression,” Centcom said.
