Three US fighter jets crashed on Monday after being mistakenly shot down by Kuwaiti air defenses, in what stands to be among the worst incidents of its kind yet involving US forces.
US Central Command said the trio of US F-15E Strike Eagles flying in support of Operation Epic Fury went down over Kuwait, according to a post on X. All six aircrew ejected safely, have been recovered and are in stable condition, officials said.
