VA Hardliner to Lead Republican Study Committee Next Year (1)

Freedom Caucus member Rep. Ben Cline (Va.) is slated to helm the conservative Republican Study Committee next year, he announced Thursday.

Cline announced his candidacy in a statement and said he’s secured the support of the majority of the group, including current Chairman August Pfluger (R-Texas), who is limited to one term. The leadership changeover would happen at the beginning of the 120th Congress in 2027.
