Virginia Freshman Tops Vulnerable House Democrats in Fundraising

Rep. Eugene Vindman, a high-profile House freshman known for his whistleblowing role in President Donald Trump’s first impeachment, is fortifying himself for his first re-election campaign in one of the nation’s most competitive districts.

Vindman (D-Va.) raised more than $1.6 million in this year’s third quarter, leading the 26 swing-district Democrats in the party’s “Frontline” incumbent-protection program in total receipts for the third quarter in a row, according to top-line figures the campaigns provided to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Vindman began October with $3.1 million in cash-on-hand.
