House Republicans from swing districts are swelling their campaign coffers as they brace for a potentially difficult election at the midpoint of President Donald Trump’s second term.
The 17 Republicans in the party’s “Patriot” incumbent-protection program together had $41 million in campaign cash-on-hand as October began, or $2.4 million on average, according to a Bloomberg Government review of campaign finance reports due this week to the Federal Election Commission.
Those Republicans, who are considered politically vulnerable in 2026, raised $763,000 on average during the months of July, August, and September.
