The architect designing the White House ballroom revealed new potential features requested by President Donald Trump on Thursday, including an addition to the West Wing to balance out the grand plans for the new ballroom structure on the east side.
Shalom Baranes, the Washington architect who took over the project’s design in November, suggested adding a second story to the colonnade that connects the White House mansion with the West Wing during a presentation before the US Commission of Fine Arts. Trump previously called the idea as a new “upper West Wing,” during an interview with the New York Times.
