The Trump administration is urging House Republicans to craft legislation to significantly boost the power of an agency created by the president during his first stint in the Oval Office.

White House officials met with Republican members of the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Monday, in a previously unreported meeting, to discuss the administration’s priorities in revamping the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), which provides loans for development projects in mostly lower-income nations.
