DLA Piper Hires Top Akin Debt Lawyer Ramanathan

DLA Piper has hired a senior debt lawyer from rival firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld in New York.

Ranesh Ramanathan, Akin’s capital solutions head, and several of his team are joining DLA, according to people familiar with the situation.

Ramanathan joined Akin from Kirkland & Ellis in 2022 where he was a partner, according to his LinkedIn profile. He was previously a managing director and deputy general counsel at Bain Capital.
