Latham & Watkins has added further firepower to its restructuring practice, hiring Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz’s John Sobolewski to lead its liability management practice.
The hire represents another high-profile addition to Latham’s broader restructuring capabilities, coming just weeks after the law firm lured Ray Schrock and three other partners from Weil Gotshal & Manges.
The Harvard Law-trained Sobolewski, who will serve as Latham’s global chair of liability management, started his career as an associate at Cravath Swaine & Moore before joining Wachtell in 2012.
