PepsiCo, Frito-Lay False Cookie Banner Suit is Voluntarily Ended

PepsiCo Inc. no longer faces a proposed class action that alleged that the food and beverage company failed to properly configure online cookie banners.

The complaint in the US District Court for the Northern District of California had alleged that despite offering to turn off non-required cookies on sites for Doritos, Lays, and Gatorade, the websites continued to use third party trackers from Google, Meta Platforms, and Microsoft.
