The Copyright Office has issued a final rule that allows the Copyright Claims Board to change or suspend certain inapplicable procedural rules for claims referred by a district court, according to the agency Monday.
The rule also allows the CCB to accept alternative proof of service forms, clarifies the rules for default proceedings and law student representation, and makes small technical corrections.
The action finalizes an interim final rule published on Dec. 19, 2022, without change, said the Copyright Office.
