A federal court’s given California the green light to use its new congressional maps that favor Democrats in the 2026 election, a key party win in a case that will likely eventually reach the US Supreme Court.
Two of the three judges on the district court panel found there was no evidence of racial gerrymandering within these maps, contrary to the California Republican Party and the Trump administration’s allegations.
