CuriosityStream Inc. was hit with an amended complaint alleging that its use of a TikTok tracker violated California’s Trap and Trace Law.
The single claim suit in the US District Court for the Northern District of California said Wednesday that TikTok’s software “collects as much data as it can about a normally and otherwise anonymous Website visitor and matches it with existing data that TikTok has acquired.”
TikTok’s tracker is on curiositystream.com, and the streaming site failed to get consent to use the software, the complaint alleged.
