Judges Pause Billions in Trump Fund Cuts
Billions of US dollars allocated to California for education and public health efforts are safe for now, after two judges temporarily blocked the Trump administration yesterday from rescinding the funds.
A California federal judge prohibited the Education Department from cutting off $4.9 billion over the its alleged noncompliance with a US parental rights law. Judge Noël Wise issued a temporary restraining order to prevent potentially “significant harm” to the entire state’s education system.
