Tech industry and labor leaders plan to meet in March as Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) looks to hammer out a deal over a proposed billionaire tax that has rattled Silicon Valley, a person familiar with the meeting said.
The gathering is expected to take place at Stanford University. At the center of the talks will be which tax proposals could gain support from Silicon Valley billionaires, whose wealth has surged in recent years, while still offsetting billions of dollars in federal health-care cuts that California is set to face in the coming years. ...
