Newsom Blasts Homan Leadership in Minnesota After ICE Raids (1)

California Governor Gavin Newsom assailed the White House border czar, Tom Homan, saying he’s the wrong person to deescalate tensions in Minneapolis spurred by President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown.

Trump dispatched Homan to Minneapolis in a leadership shakeup that he said was intended to ease tensions in the city. Homan was accused last year of accepting $50,000 in cash in 2024 from Federal Bureau of Investigation agents posing as businessmen seeking government contracts. Homan has denied allegations that he took those funds.
