A trial against Elon Musk will begin Monday in a San Francisco federal court over whether the world’s richest person manipulated Twitter’s stock price in 2022 to get himself a better deal on the social media platform.
Investors allege the tech mogul for months attacked the company in a ruse to drive down its market value and get himself a better price at their expense, Jef Feeley reports. Musk is expected to be the star witness.
