Medicare to Test Making CBD Treatment Available for Seniors (1)

Some US Medicare patients would be eligible to receive coverage for CBD under an initiative being planned through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, according to people familiar with the matter who weren’t authorized to speak publicly.

CBD, or cannabidiol, is a compound found in cannabis that doesn’t cause a high. Some research suggests it may treat cancer symptoms. It’s also used as a remedyfor sleep disorders, anxiety, pain and inflammation.
