Anthropic Set to Meet Trump Officials Over AI Security Concerns

Anthropic PBC executives are planning to meet with Trump administration officials on Monday to discuss an unprecedented US government directive barring foreign access to the company’s most advanced artificial intelligence models, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The meeting is scheduled to take place at the US Commerce Department in Washington, the person said, speaking on condition of anonymity to describe confidential proceedings. It wasn’t immediately clear which executives from Anthropic and administration officials would participate.

Spokespeople from Commerce and the company had no immediate comment.
