SocGen Said to Tap HSBC’s Wurm as Global Banking Head in Germany

Societe Generale SA has tapped Steffen Wurm from HSBC Holdings Plc as its head of global banking in Germany and Austria, according to people familiar with the matter.

Wurm has decided to leave HSBC “to take on a new challenge” after more than 11 years at the firm, where he was most recently head of global banking in Germany, according to a memo reviewed by Bloomberg News.

A representative for SocGen declined to comment, while a representative for HSBC didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
