General Mills Trims Suit on Phthalates in Annie’s Mac and Cheese

General Mills Inc. convinced a federal judge to pare back a proposed class action alleging it deceptively markets Annie’s brand macaroni and cheese products as healthy despite the products containing chemicals known to be endocrine disruptors.

The consumers’ claims based on affirmative misrepresentations were dismissed, but their omission-based claims could proceed, the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York said Wednesday.
