Marisa Hochberg ignored court deadlines and failed to participate in discovery after her counsel quit over non-threat, communication failures and threats, the US District Court for the Southern District of New York said. Her former friend and employer Jayma Cardoso and her company JC Hospitality accused her of using her name and The Surf Lodge’s trademark to promote her yoga studio in a 2023 lawsuit.
