AI Used Most in Tax Administrations for Evasion, Fraud Detection

Tax administrations use artificial intelligence most often to ferret out fraud and tax evasion, according to a new report from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

A 2024 OECD survey showed that 79% of the organization’s 38 members—mostly developed economies—that use AI are deploying it for tax enforcement and compliance.
