The California Governor signed a law concerning low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC). The law includes: 1) removing a requirement that a taxpayer elect to sell a LIHTC in their application for tax credits; and 2) allowing taxpayers to choose to certificate the credit any time before the tax credits are awarded.
