Simpson Thacher & Bartlett is expanding its footprint in the Lone Star State, joining a rush of law firms attempting to capture a piece of the rapidly growing corporate law market in North Texas.
The Wall Street firm announced plans late Wednesday to open a Dallas office, “aligned with the region’s growing client, capital and talent base.” The move comes amid the high-profile hire of David Nemecek, a partner for Kirkland & Ellis, who will lead the newly formed capital structure solutions practice.
