Shutdown Adds to Tax Court Woes

The US Tax Court’s move to cancel two weeks of trial sessions during the government shutdown adds a new challenge for the court, which already was struggling with a backlog.

The court earlier this week said trial sessions won’t take place during the weeks of Oct. 20 and Oct. 27. The court remains open for taxpayers and attorneys to submit filings.
