Damian Carolan, a practice group head at Allen & Overy, is leaving the UK law firm days before it officially merges with New York’s Shearman & Sterling.
Carolan was a partner at the firm for 15 years, serving as head of A&O’s UK financial services regulatory practice. The firm confirmed his departure on Monday.
A&O has overhauled its leadership since announcing the tie up with Shearman last year. Managing partner Gareth Price left the firm in July, while senior partner Wim Dejonghe plans to retire this week.
