Amazon, Others Back Flowers Foods in High Court Arbitration Case

Amazon.com Inc. and business groups told the US Supreme Court it should side with Flowers Foods Inc. in a fight over whether people hoping to avoid arbitrating wage claims must work in the transportation industry.

The online retailer has its own pending petition for high court review of an appellate decision allowing drivers who deliver goods through Amazon’s Flex program to use the Federal Arbitration Act’s transportation worker exemption.
