Civil Rights Groups Push for Senate Hearings on Trump EEOC Picks

A group of civil rights organizations asked heads of a Senate committee to hold a hearing to consider President Donald Trump’s nominees to the EEOC before voting on their confirmation.

The groups sent a letter Thursday to the top members of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor & Pensions, urging them to “rigorously question and closely review” the records of Brittany Panuccio, Trump’s new commissioner nominee, and agency Acting Chair Andrea Lucas, according to a copy of the letter reviewed by Bloomberg Law.
