Deutsche Bank Must Face Housing Discrimination Claim After Trim

Deutsche Bank AG units got a judge’s nod to dismiss all but one housing discrimination claims related to their role as a trustee on homes that were allegedly left in disrepair across minority neighborhoods, while real estate in White neighborhoods was carefully maintained.

The suit brought by 20 housing groups against Deutsche Bank National Trust Co., Deutsche Bank Trust Co. Americas, Ocwen Loan Servicing LLC, and Altisource Solutions Inc. alleged the trustee violated the Fair Housing Act across 30 metropolitan areas by failing to properly maintain the foreclosed homes, particularly in Black and Latino communities.
